It appears that my jury trial for this month is going to be postponed. Which is… kind of okay as it seems that I have more jury trials upcoming. A wise man would be far more proactive and put together. A skilled attorney would already be conquering the next 5 weeks of items and being as prepared as humanly possible. I’m not that guy. At least not right now.
It is dark and rainy this morning.
Martha started her move in earnest this weekend. Her new place is… shitty. Not that I didn’t live in some shitty places during our marriage. But still… it is hard to overcome the personal thoughts. “She’d rather live in this than fix our relationship” kind of thoughts. As items in the home disappear, items that have been part of my life for 8 years or even just “always part of the house”… the whole thing gets more real. I’ll admit feelings of sadness. And a little hopelessness.
I suppose I’m just… in the “get through this step” phase of life right now. Keep the house in decent shape; walk the dog every day; just keep pushing forward.
