the continental divide in poetry

psychosis is outcome-based
doesn’t care about process
at best it just pretends
to care about the hows
no, psychosis only just
wants to be heard loud

everything is merely a
tool to gain attention
everything is transactional
everything a boundary to be
pushed to get more mention

psychosis sees
everyone else
as a Pavlov dog
cruel experiments
to find the right bells
to be the one
in the light

psychosis doesn’t
know for self-doubt
only doubt in others

neurosis is
well, I don’t know
I have no idea, man
neurosis is
whatever the fuck
I am
