College Acceptances and Midterms in In the Meadow

January has been very busy. Kayla and Timmy have each received acceptances to two colleges. They initially received emails and then letters in the mail. These are colleges that they liked when they visited. The financials would include a lot of grants and scholarships, so they would have only a small amount to pay back. These colleges are known for being early.
They still have quite a few colleges to hear from, so it could be a while.

Midterms were last week. It was Aaron’s first midterm. He was taking a readiness for work class that lasted one semester. He started a technical arts class this week. Timmy and Kayla each had one midterm. Kayla took a computer science midterm and Timmy took an architecture midterm. They have more electives now that they are seniors.

Aaron is doing indoor track. They have one meet a week at the local university. He has been doing the 800 meters, 1600 meters, and discus throw. Timmy and Kayla are both in the school musical. They both have fairly significant roles this year. They have also been working on the sets. The show is in March.

The twins have some of the things they will need for college. Things they will need no matter where they end up going. We will wait to get the specific items when we know where they will be living. Most of the colleges they have applied to have dorms for first year students where they will share one room with a roommate. There are multiple rooms in a hall with a shared bathroom. There are lounges and study rooms.
