Today’s date is pretty.

It’s been an exhausting couple of weeks.

One of my coworkers and Aaron’s step mother (do you call them a step mother if she married Aaron’s father when Aaron was an adult?) are dealing with substance abuse issues that’s coming out into the open. As far as I know, both are getting treatment, which is wonderful, but it’s hard to stand by. All we can do is offer help in any way but it’s up to them to get better. I’m really emotionally exhausted from it.

Baby doc had some difficult cases as well, some of which had a poor outcome, so I’ve been trying to help her get through that and reassure her that she gave/is giving them their best chance, even if things didn’t go smoothly. She and I are similar in many ways (we’ve been jokingly saying we’re actually the same person), so I’m trying to cut off some negative thought processes I think I would have before she can have them.

Aaron, Kat and I helped Genevieve move into her new apartment (which is within walking distance of my house!) yesterday. It went so incredibly smoothly! Truly, I’m amazed of efficient we were. I’m still definitely tired and sore, though. I’m super excited to have her living so close by :)

Luckily, I have tomorrow off so hopefully I can get a little more decompression in.

Ooh, I have a vet question for you. So, my weird kitten likes to groom my long hair. Is him eating hair a medical emergency like it could be if he ate thread?

I hope you get more decompressed!

This may not be the kind of help you’re looking for, but I just pulled one of my hairs out of my Chihuahua’s butt today. So just, like, keep an eye out for your cat having a turd on a leash, so to speak, as it were, if you know what I mean.

It's so hard to watch someone you care about struggle and not be able to do anything. <3
