so i've had the ipad for a little over a week and slowly, slowly i am learning about it. Took one workshop and that helped some, altho i did know more than i thought. Of course, there is STILL a lot for me to learn. I'm going to take another one Tuesday night. After all "repition for emphasis" right?

I downloaded some free books, just a few classics and i was surprised how much i did enjoy reading on the ipad. I do think i will take it on vacation but i will also take "hard" books to read when i am outside in the sun. I know my friend has an ipad but also a kindle or nook that she can read in the sun. I will take a paperback to read on the beach because i usually sit so close to the water's edge, that the book just might get wet. But it will be nice to have the ipad to save space. Jeff says i've caved and i hate to admit it but i think i might have.

I'm even doing facetime w/my son, but please, please tell me that i don't look like i do in the screen----horrible, horrible and i've had some confidence issues w/that but i have noticed that my son, who is quite handsome, looks strange on facetime screen too.

Weather has finally gotten better here, so much so that a couple mornings i was able to walk w/my aunt as the snow and ice and general slush has disappeared and walking routes have reappeared. Maybe spring is just around the corner!
