I have been thinking! in Majimaze Musing!

                Hi there everyone!Sorry I haven't been very active here.I still have not warmed to this new site so really have to work at writing

regularly.Also,for the past few weeks,I have been distracted by the fact that my financial situation has had to be under scrutiny and adjusted and pinched down,requiring sacrifices and much discussion with people who can help ,and talking myself into having very little to live on for a while, as I correct my debt.Enough said.I am working on it and ,slowly but surely I will get out of the hole I dug for myself over Christmas!Sigh....... Also,other matters,local,national and international have required a bit of thought. Number One is International.How on earth can a plane full of people and loaded with technological wizardry,completely disappear?I am definitely not a conspiracy theorist, so refuse to get into that den of iniquity.So,where can it be?No wreckage, a pinging which has got everybody exercised, and nothing else!This is super weird and super scarey.I am not a happy air traveller anyway and this mystery has done nothing to assuage my anxiety over fying.It just stumps me. And the agony the relatives are going through is beyond description.All the theories and possibilities that come flying in and are shot down (sorry,bad choice of words) must pick up their hopes then squash them again and again.Meantime,as a news item,it is losing momentum. This should never happen.I mean we can't forget that a plane full of people has dissappeared, can we?However, we are fickle.....or rather the news media is.My mind won't turn it off.I WANT TO KNOW!!! I hope sincerely that something is found and proves to be correct,either way,the poor relatives will have something to work with.My thoughts and prayers are with them in these dreadful days. Number two is National.We are in an election year now and politics and politicians are front and centre on all news bulletins.Aaar--gh!I am a left leaning voter,always have been,however, being apolitical has it attractions sometimes.I get so sick and tired of politics!!!AND politicans.I am rapidly getting to the stage when I turn off sources of news!!They repeat,ad infinitum, the same news as seen by different commentators.Same with sport!I actually like watching sport: I only really enjoyed hockey and swimming as a participant:however,follow other codes.Rugby,cricket and others.However,sports presenters and commentators drive me nuts!I Do have a brain!I CAN work out a few things for myself!!!NOT financial stuff I grant you!So ,often,I turn off.This is NOT GOOD!I should be abe to listen,read,watch and then decide,instead of being bullied into makinga decision.Which I won't be. So that is the National. Number three is local.Which of course includes our big neighbour,Auckland City as well as our small Island. Auckland City's hapless Mayor has had an extramarital affair.Okay, it is not ideal,and is immoral,however,he and his family made the decion that he should stay as Mayor which is entirely proper,as they are the ones most affected by his behaviour,however,he cannot conduct any Mayoral business without his affair coming up.OMG!Too much!I want to forget.I have had to switch off several radio and television interviews because each time,instead of focussing on the SUBJECT under discussion,we get rudeness,arrogance and unnecessary questions and comments by the interviewer.For goodness sake, stop all the judgements!I'd love to pin down and minutely examine some of the interviewers and check out their morals!I actually am not interested in ther peoples' sex lives.It is how they do their duties that is important.Aucland City is a big lumbering beastie,requiring discipline by Mayor and Council and us,its citizens.Yep!The world hasn't tipped on its axis because the Mayor had an affair.Let him get on with his work. LOCAL:Island stuff. We are a very motley lot here.Some seriously wealthy,others,very wealthy many just middle income and others,like me and those dear to me,living on a fixed,limited income. We can also be very picky about food,rubbish,roads,the enviroment and each other AND,very vocal!!I try NOT to be on one side or the other.It is not good for me or my peace of mind.However,sometimes,I just need to accidentally peruse social media and be so outraged that I turn off my computer!And don't mention politics!No,no,NO!!Dear oh dear! To another subject. For the past week,we have been exhorted to prepare for Cyclone Lusi.Having endured a flood at my place due to a cyclone 3 years ago, I always take them seriously.I have also endured cyclones while sailing which is VERY scary!So,when the warnings gotvery dire,Janet,my eldest daughter came around and cleared all my gutters of leaves and debris,I swept and cleaned all the drains and paths and nailed down loose planks etc.I still have stuff blocking any known leaks set up! In the event,it was a bit of a fizzer.Lots of wind,(like politcians!),however,from a different direction which was less damaging for us,Quite a bit of rain and big seas.And, thankfully,it is over!Yay!Taitai and I still went for our walks,a bit truncated,however, still haening and just grey messy days>GREAT!! so, thats enough from me.I am fine really.I will become accustomed to the new site eventually and I hope it doesn't take to long.And,eventually I will get solvent again.In the meantime,I will keep THINKING!!!!
