Now (2014) and Then (2004) in Life

Me Thursday - 3/11/2004

I bought myself an Alan Jackson CD the other day. Its rare that I buy a CD but I couldn't resist this one since it has tons of songs on it. My favorite right now is There Goes. Whenever he sings the chorus I want to get up and two step. Now I just need to learn how to two step. :)

I also like his song Drive. It reminds me of my grandpa riding shotgun with me driving his old blue truck.

I'm feeling much, much, better today. Maybe the Prozac is finally kicking in. I didn't cry once, and the boss didn't get on my nerves for the first day this week. I think she is going to be gone tomorrow so she won't be getting on my nerves for a second day this week. We just don't see eye to eye on some things, and then when I argue with her she tells me I can always send it to a manager but when I do that she tells me I have a bad attitude. I had one yesterday that I wanted to pay and she didn't so I sent it to my manager who agreed with me. It was all I could do to resist telling her I told you so.

Me Friday - 3/12/2004

Figaro is being incredibly cute tonight. He looks like a little kitten. He is looking even cuter at the moment but I have no more room on my camera. I need to move the cat pictures over to their individual CD's. Awwww he is being even cuter this moment than he was that previous moment I mentioned a moment ago. I must quit looking! :)

Im going to My Aunts tomorrow so she can do my taxes. When I called to make sure she would be home she said that Gina had been trying to get ahold of me to get a picture of her cat Dorie. You might remember that before Dorie was Gina's pampered house cat she was Socks Jr on my grandma's farm. Gina's roommate let her out while Gina was staying with her parents for the weekend, and Dorie hasn't been seen since. :(

I hope Dorie has found a good home some where.

Me Saturday - 3/13/2004

The other day when I was feeling sad about losing touch with old friends I joined Classmates. Today I had an email from my best friend from Jr high school. Rhonda was the daughter of our minister so I had know her through our church for several years but in 9th grade we both worked in the library so we became great friends. She moved away when we were sophomores. Now she lives in Alaska with her hubby and 3 kids.

I had a nice surprise when I got to my aunts. Gina was there! We had so much fun laughing and talking. She wears me out though trying to keep up with her. :) She was rough housing with their dog, running and chasing with him. My aunt and I were in the other room, and I asked her if she thought I would be able to keep up with her when Gina came to stay with me. :) I was just kidding though I think Im going to enjoy it.

Sunday 3/14/2004

Not too much to say tonight. I spent most of the day cleaning house. It was nice enough to eat my lunch outside, and read a book. I also took a tour of the garden. Nothing in bloom but the crocus but there are a few things getting ready to bloom. Gateway went with me on my tour.

Me Friday 3-14-2014

I had a fantastic day today. It was weigh in day and I had lost 1 pound so now I’m down to 152! Only 3 more pounds until goal! I worked out with Angie and we had a mutual appreciation thing going on. I told her all the positive things Gina had said about me and she told me how awesome I’ve been doing and she wanted to know if I realised how few people in the gym could go out and run 11 miles. She thought only a handful of people would be able to do it. We did bosu ball arm curls, Romanian dead lifts, lunges and step ups after the gym I met Lynn at On The Border for yummy lunch. We both had quesidillas and toritlla soup. Then we went and saw 12 Years A Slave. Awesome movie. Made you think. It was no surprise to me that the kidnappers escaped justice and the sad thing is that if it took place today they might still escape justice.

I’m feeling a little bad that we ate popcorn and M&M’s while watching the movie. Its the first time since I began my weight loss journey that I have had movie popcorn, and probably the last. They serve you too large a portion. Next time if I want popcorn I will sneak it in

Despite going way over on calories at lunch and movies I still ate a sensible dinner and snack rather then either trying to starve myself the rest of the day or giving up for the day and binge eat all evening.
