Activity in the fog ….. in The odd entries from life …….

Our quietness in the valley may end to day, yesterday we didn’t see the other side of the valley at all, there was no real rain just a still and silence fog, when I was out there was the odd cold droplet touching my skin; other wise just a dull day.

Ziggy and Lola had their Thursday class yesterday, there was fog at the agility field but it wasn’t much in the way of silence there, on one side the builders were busy building houses and on the other side the trains were passing by unseen; as were over head the aircraft crossed the sky unseen.

There were two trains and three or four planes passing during our hour, this sort of noise seems not to register with Lola, when we started the midweek classes Ziggy reacted to every sound, those sounds have been an unplanned part of Ziggy’s learning, he still listened but has stopped reacting. He interest now is on his agility activates, and barking Lola on as she makes her way round the course; Lola never listens to builders trains or Ziggy as she dashes round.

I was quite pleased I had wore my newish coat, the one I had for all those winter classes that never happened, it was very good as I watched Ziggy and Lola in turns doing their stuff, still foggy days noisy or not are cold. I carried Lola to the field expecting the gate area to be still a wet mess, but our dry days have improved things under foot, as after the class Lola walked out; I thought Lola seemed a little disappointed – she can be a very lazy little Westie – there have been photographs enough to back that up ……
