The weather has been really spring like lately and I'm loving it. The daffodils are out in the garden and I can sit on the patio with my coffee again and listen to the birds singing.
Two weeks ago it was our wedding anniversary and we went to the garden centre at Raglan and had cream tea in the cafe. I bought some beautiful frilly primulas which I think are a new variety as I have never seen them before. I also bought some petunia for the summer hanging baskets and some seeds. If the weather carries on like this I should be able to plant the seeds soon. My son bought me one of those mini greenhouses for Christmas so I have to sort out the back yard and make a place to put it, then my seeds will do better and be safe from the dreaded slugs!
I still haven't got my passport. Hubby's arrived last week but it seems they can't trace my last one. I had asked for a replacement because I had lost it, and now it seems they have lost the record of it, which could mean my having to send my birth and marriage certificates, which is more expense as I can't find my birth certifcate either! I don't know what is wrong with me nowadays. I was always a very careful, well organised person. If I don't get the passport soon we will have to postpone our plans to go to The Netherlands as it will be too late to book. That's a bit upsetting as neither of us are getting any younger and I'm afraid of something happening to stop us ever going. It's been a dream for many years.
We were going out tonight to a local open mic but unfortunately I have one of my migraines and I don't feel up to it. I do get a bit fed up with my health sometimes. I haven't been to an open mic since November with one thing and another, but at least the weather and the flowers brighten my mood.
