I have a million things to write but lack the discipline to write even one of them. Bear with me please.

1: How many cars have you ever owned?
Three in my name. I prefer having access to a car without owning it or going to jail. The three:
1. The hundred dollar ‘62 Chevy bought from a want ad in the Cedar Rapids Gazette. $100 and I loved it. It shows up in some of my motherinlaw’s pictures that we looked through this week.
2. The red ‘82 (or so) Escort wagon we bought from a seed corn dealer in Plain View MN for $710. It was supposed to be $750 but it needed a battery so he took $40 off. I loved that car too.
3. My newest car, the gray ‘92 Escort Pony I bought from a dealer for about $5000 in 1995. Son took it to the city for his first job (current job) and brought it back with cigarette burns in the upholstery. He had it detailed though. I loved that car as well.

2: Can you do math in your head well?
Maybe. Sometimes. Used to be better. Or was I? I love math but I am not the most accurate person in the world.

3: what is your least favorite chore to do around the house?
I don’t like any housekeeping chore. Actually PREFER to wash dishes than do a lot of things.

4: what is your favorite flavour of potato chips?
I don’t like potato chips much. Like beer I have to be in such a good mood to drink/eat that I may as well not. Cheesy sour cream. There you dragged it out of me.

5: Do you ever read the weather forecast?
I don’t care much about it - am somewhat likely to google weather and zip code when I really feel the need to know.

6: Do amusement park rides make you sick?
I hate amusement parks.

7: who is your favorite Star Wars character?
I feel the same way about Star Wars as I do about amusement parks.

8: what kind of cheese do you put in your sandwiches?
Sharp cheddar.

9: What radio station do you listen to mostly?
Wisconsin public in the car, Minnesota rarely.

10: who was the last person to give you a gift?
I don’t remember.

11: how old were you when you got your driver’s license?
Sixteen and three fourths. Catholic school kids had to make special arrangements for driver’s training and I never did. I had to count on my boy friend and my dad to teach me. I wasn’t the best pupil.

12: what was the first thing you ever learned to cook?
My mom made me make cookies at a fairly early age.

13: when was the last time you got a haircut?
A year ago last March I gave myself a fairly serious chop off. It’s pretty much grown again though I trim bangs once in a while.

14: have you ever been to a bachelor/bachelorette party?
No.

15: How many people can you say you truly love?
I love everybody, truly, almost equally.

16: do you like kids?
Sometimes. Helps if they like me.

17: Do you have a birthday coming up soon?
Next June - 74, I’ll be. I’d like to live to 78 and then die easily.

18: what was the last Board Game you played?
Scrabble, some time ago.

19: Do you leave good tips when you eat out at restaurants?
I try to tip generously. I appreciate having food brought to me. Sometimes one person pays and the other leaves a tip - that kind of spreads the burden.

20: what is your favorite thing to eat at a BBQ?
I eat everything.

21: do you still own any VHS tapes?
Not sure, but I hope not.

22: how many of your friends have known you for at least 5 years?
I know many people on line for a lot longer.

23: are you superstitious?
Not very.

24: what was your favorite book as a child?
Laura Ingalls Wilder’s ‘’Little Cabin” books.

25: what was the most expensive restaurant you have ever eaten at?
I don’t remember.

26: are you keeping a secret from anyone right now?
Not really.

27: what is the smallest town you have ever visited?
Luckenbach TX, uptown and downtown.

28: have you ever gone golfing?
When the kids were the right ages, we had family membership at a 3 par local course that sadly is no longer in existence.

29: what is your favorite soup?
My own lucky mix whatever is in the fridge etc.

30: how old were you when you learned to ride a bike?
Ten or so.

31: do you know any sign language?
Not really.

32: do you ever read the newspaper?
Gazette comes Monday through Saturday and I either read it or don’t.

33: when you are having a bad day how do you make yourself feel better?
Eat, sleep, otherwise self-indulge.

34: did you have a swing set in your yard as a child?
My dad put a rope swing in the walnut tree when we moved here.

35: what is the scariest movie you have ever seen?
I don’t remember

36: why did you do this survey?
Surveys are usually easier than writing a whole entry. You know when you’re finished.
