What a mess! in A small but passable life.

Last night at midnight it was 60 degrees in the van. Needless to say, I pulled the goosedown sleeping bag off the bed and crawled into my summer bag. And with the subtraction of three layers from on top and one layer of clothes on the bottom and wearing my cotton socks, it was a very comfortable night's sleep. This morning at 9am (!) when I got out of bed it was 51 degrees. I got up and ate a bowl of cereal and then picked up the book. I read today, sitting in my chair, barefoot, while the van warmed up to a very nice 86 degrees with three windows open. (The high temperature outside today was 78 degrees.) I finished- "Thank You, Anarchy" by Nathan Schneider right before dusk. I ate a sandwich and then got dressed and came over here.

The forecast is calling for rain and maybe snow tonight. And a high tomorrow of only 45 degrees. If there is no sunshine it won't warm the van enough for me to lounge. I'll have to get out and walk somewhere. Maybe over to the student union. It's open until 5pm.

One of the next two books I've got on the stack to read is a book about aging written by a socialist feminist. I made it through the introduction. I'll stick with it. We'll see how much in denial I really am. (Like when I was fifty years old and living with a twenty-three old Micronesian who couldn't seem to get enough sex and I thought the relationship had a future?) I should be alright reading the book until I get to the inevitable discussion of old(er) women having sex. Shudder. I don't mean to be biased, but . . . shudder.

I just counted my Rush albums on my iTunes: 14. Only 7 more to find.

Okay, enough rambling for now.

Well hell, prosebox won't let me copy & paste from Word. I guess that's the end of prosebox for me.

What a mess. I guess I did something to make it work. Who knows.
