Slow Down, You Crazy Child…

Motoring through the fog, somewhere in western Pennsylvania or maybe West Virginia Vienna came on the radio.

I was listening to the Billy Joel channel on Sirius XM.
It is an interesting song, and it is only through the writers own interpretation. Cool thing about Sirius channels. They intersperse the songs with mini-interviews. Billy Joel was in Vienna Austria, because singer songwriters always have to be somewhere. He was at a café and across the street there was an old woman sweeping the sidewalk. Someone mentioned that she had been a very beautiful woman in her youth. It dawned on him and he was probably about my age at the time, that time is a one way clock. “Vienna waits for you…” You can ignore it as long as you want, but the freight train of age is coming.
