There is no escape from fate in Poetry

I don’t want to move
From my place of rest
I’ve been paralyzed
By a disease that
Gives no breaks
Or rest
I’m watching my own death
And every time
I try to fight back
Death grips my heart
And then it lets go
So you think you have a chance
Until you forfeit hope
And then it slowly cuts
Through all the chambers
Passing out from unbearable pain
I can see it desires
To devour me
My pain
Your joy
My abdomen is cut wide open
Being able to feel my insides
Slip right out of me
Onto the ground
I’m gasping for particles of air
Death looks inside my eyes
Devouring what is left
In the horror
In the horror
Of my past life
