The Horror Begins in Poetry

The horror inside
The image that rules my life
Betrayed by lies
And cast away
From a society
That continues to decay

Dreams haunt me
As repressed memories
Corrupt the darkness
Eating away inside my head
Deprive me
Of the natural laws
For I must not be
A human being

Everything feels foreign to me
I’m tired of submitting to life
For there is a disease
Chewing away at my eyes
Deleting this optical illusion
And all that it reflects
As I become blind
The disease does not quit
As it slowly dismantles
Everything that I am
