I’ve been sick for a week now with varying symptoms and I am so frustrated.
It started on Monday the 21st with a sore throat that hurt too much to swallow by the time I got home. Fever of 100.5. Protector got me some tylenol and layed with me. I was out by 8:30.
Tuesday my throat still hurt but a lot less than Monday night.
Wednesday my throat was a little sore but by the end of the day I had started to lose my voice.
Thursday my voice was completely gone squeaky or silent. No other symptoms.
Friday my voice was still gone, woke up with half my nose like it had been running and dried. Felt fine most of the day.
Saturday I still had no voice, arguably the worst day for it. While trying to go to sleep I coughed and coughed.
Sunday my voice was back for the most part but my cough was worse. I coughed for 20 straight minutes with tiny breaks. I also found out my medication reacts with cold medicine. Good thing I looked it up before hand.
And now that its Monday again, I’m pretty sure my voice is back but I haven’t been talking much. It’s too early. I’ve been coughing tons since I woke up. My chest hurts from coughing. My throat hurts from coughing. I need it to stop.
I emailed my doctor and asked her what cold medicines or cough suppressants I can take on my meds and if I can use albuterol or not. Hopefully she gets back to me quick because this is awful.
I’m hoping it doesnt turn out like last time because having 3 appointments and an xray to figure out I had bacterial bronchitis was not fun at all. Walking pneumonia, viral bronchitis, allergies, and a cold as best guesses for what I had, 2 rounds of prednisone, one round of a cough suppressant, albuterol inhaler, and a zpack later I was finally better.
I should have called out of work.
