so. i was in london. in 2007: March 1: transferred fom FOD

also. i’m sick. again i have a cold got it fri.

um yeah before i forget. i was in london. recently. the day we arrived well the day we arrived was crazy. um. the flight out was ok it was long. and i have a hard time sleeping on planes so by the time we arrived i was massively tired. to the point where. i was super emotional. um. the tube station was. my mom was in a big hurry........she learned not to be after that.
oh so. we got lucky. we were thinking of seeing ‘come from away’ but weren’t sure bc the flat might not be ready in time. well.................anyway so when we got there. this nice british guy called someone and. we went up to our flat and i think. the cleaning lady let us in. she was nice. she was french. she left after a few mins. um so we dropped our stuff off and went and saw come from away a fantastic show btw. it was great i’d see it again. it has everything. it’s sad and fun and happy and funny. and visitors to other cities/countries. really do. come from away. erm. for those who don’t know. ‘come from away’ is about 9/11. but they don’t show any footage or videos of, the day which i was glad of. actually. to be more accurate. it’s about the people who were d..........diverted that’s the word. to newfoundland. and they form their own little community. and they come to enjoy that. that was my fave show that i saw. my mom too.
um. oh our second day we saw tina about tina turner. it was interesting but not so emotional. oh and it is violent btw. i didn’t watch those scenes. it didn’t really do a whole lot for me. i did not know. that a. she’s a buddhist b. she’s from tn and c. at one point phil specter was her record producer. or how she met ike. i liked when. she was in the recording studio. just her. singularity. and the ending was a lot of fun. i also didn’t know. she has 2 sons. i forgot what else happened that day. some of the songs i knew like ‘proud mary’, ‘what’s love got to do w/ it’, ‘river deep mountain high’. i knew the first one..........i think it’s called ‘don’t turn away’, or something. oh. there is a scene. where she and her other love interest. are dancing to that song by al jurreau [sp?]. the famous one. the one about happy and sad. ‘and we’ll stay together whether we’re happy or sad...........’ that scene was lovely. that song might be called ‘we’ll stay together’ i think it is. during intermission we talked to a couple nice ladies from ohio. i’ve been to ohio. once. it was cold and dark and snowy. it was night. that’s really my only memory of ohio. [oh. i was on a layover. i was coming back from vermont on holiday. going from vermont to denver.].
so we saw ‘phantom’ of course. we didn’t have great seats which was why i didn’t enjoy it as much. the theatre was packed. we also went to the british museum to see the ceiling and the portland vase...........it is a v. cool ceiling. and um the v&a. went out to eat had lebonese twice. and italian. went to the store most every day. we stayed in a new flat this time. it was nice. oh we went to this cute tea place we’d been to once before last yr. the english rose cafe. we had vanilla chai. um.
