Actually not really.
I just ate pretty good this weekend.
Grilled chicken with corn on the cob and Vermont white cheddar mashed potatoes Friday.
Beef stew chock with veggies last night (Sat.)
Tacos with fresh cut tomatoes and black olives tonight.

Okay, so this has been bugging me. My best Friend Mike has moved back into town due to unforseen circumstance. He called me a while back and told him he was suspended from his supervisory position because a new guy went nuclear on complaints and that he was getting evicted (all in the same phone call) because he was told to pay his rent to a different agency and they sent it off late. I didn’t think much of it at the time because one: dude has real shitty luck and two: it’s ALWAYS a story with this guy. A five minute interaction that inconveniences him turns into a twenty minute rant later on. I take it with a grain of salt as I know how to get him to chill out.

Well, he gets back and comes over one day before I have work. I’ve not seen the guy in two years and I’m glad to have my friend back. We shoot the shit for two hours watching Army of Darkness then make plans to have a big meal for him that following Sunday when I’m off. Smothered pork chops, cabbage, corn, potatoes etc. Yeah…he didn’t touch any of the vegetables except the potatoes and corn bread. Mom was hurt and super pissed. I now know why he’s so big. I’m not talking shit! In no way am I. But I’d guess he weighs close to three hundred. Strike one. He then starts complaining about the guy’s house he’s staying with IE: no room for his stuff and expired food. Strike two. (We did offer him a place to stay if he needed but we’re both rethinking that hardcore.) Then he mentions to mom that he was fired. My ears prick up at that. What happened to the suspension? Strike three.

I’ve never had a reason not to trust him but something really dosen’t add up in his story and he’s coming off like an ungrateful prick. It’s been on my mind a bit since it happened two weeks ago. I’m not sure what to think…
