so. bc it’s been a few days. i might not remember all this correctly on clearly. er. so on. fri. we went. to pick up another passenger. and at first she seemed ok. quiet. well. and i don’t really understand this but i also know enough not to make a scene. um. so. the bus driver. he was meant to drop me off first and then. her even though. apparently her destination was closer. like i said i don’t quite understand that but um. ok. not my rule. [the bus goes door to door.]. the lady thought it ridiclous too. she actually stood up. and told the driver to ‘let me off the bus i have an emergency w/ my mother’. sure we’ve all got stuff. and ‘let me off the bus or i’m calling the cops’. she didn’t btw. well apparently. the drivers in that kindof situation have. to call dispatch before they can let the person leave. but she. didn’t give him enough time. to call dispatch. i’m not sure if she opened the doors herself using the little handle thing or..........no wait maybe she didn’t. i wasn’t paying close enough attention. he told her ‘hold on’ or ‘just a minute’ or something. she became irrational and angry and i felt she was disrespectul to the bus driver. on a bus that goes door to door. if a person’s put out. like where else is there to go ya know? unlike on a city bus when they can just pull the thing and exit. wherever. and that’s. the reason. on buses and flights i’m quiet and respectful. cause there’s not really any other place to go other then. on flights to the bathroom and there are only so many bathrooms.
no during. all this i wanted to stand up and go ‘look. no you do not get to do that. that is disrespectful to the bus driver and not fair. and frankly not fair to me either’ only. i’m used to things not being fair so. well. obviously the bus driver could’ve handled it himself. i just don’t like injustice. no one has the right to disrespect anyone. [ok so i’m not perfect myself. no i know.]. i never. should’ve been witness to that but. again it is what it is. i’m so used. to being used to things.
never. in all my yrs. of taking the bus door to door. has that happened. it was quite dramatic. i hope i don’t see that woman again. no not for her for me. like yeah um no. oh. but her son was really cool though. he exited their residence and explained more of the situation. and he’s ‘i’m sorry’. i didn’t say anything during this whole time but thank you. the bus driver told me ‘i’m sorry’ yeah me too man. [oh. btw. i thanked him.]. yeah at the end. of my ride i. gave a witness statement. stated how she’d the other passenger acted not. like anything personal about her the other passenger. oh! right i remember. so this bus driver i’ve had him a few times. he’s cool. and nice i think he’s from africa, or something. [not that. i have a problem w/ that as i don’t.]. he is. a person of color whereas. the other passenger isn’t............that might have something to do w/ it. or it might not i could be completely wrong. i don’t know.
um yeah. godamn. another reason i’m quiet when i’m put out. [other then online obviously.]. but i’ve learned. to be sometimes the hard way. unfortunately. i think this woman was older then i am [i’m in my 30’s] not that that really. has much to do w/ it as sometimes it doesn’t. no i’m just mentioning.
just cause i’m used. to being used to things doesn’t mean i need. them to happen ya know? [or maybe people don’t. know.].
