Books I read in February

The Good Boy by Teresa Schwegel. A boy, his dog and what happens when the boy sees something he shouldnt. I enjoyed it.

The Other Mr Darcy by Monica Fairview. What happens when Darcy’s American cousin falls in love with Caroline Bingley. I liked it. Its the first romance Ive read in years and it was a good one. Made me interested in reading more Jane Austen. I’ve read P&P, S&S ane Emma.

The Ghost Road by Pat Barker. An imagined tale of the psychiatrist who treats the poets Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon. Horrible. Wost book Ive read in a long time. Horrible ending. The other two books in the series were much better but the ending kind of taints them as well.

If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch. A young adult novel about a girl abducted from her custodial parent and taken into the woods to hide. I liked it. I could have done without the romance storyline but I think its a given all YA novels have a romance.

The Ocean at the End of the Line by Neil Gamen. A middle reader book about a boy who meets a girl witch. It was OK

The Patron Saint of Lost Dogs by Nick Trout. A vet relocates to his old home town to rescue his Dads practice. I enjoyed the animal stories. Probably would have enjoyed the authors real stories as a vet more.

Police by Jo Nesbo. Detective Harry Hole investigates the murders of his fellow Police Officers. It was OK Too many characters.
