The nice new heart doc posted the results of the Stress test;
“PROCEDURE
A Dobutamine stress echo was performed. The study was technically
difficult. Echo contrast injection was performed. Interpretation Summary
No stress-induced wall motion abnormalities observed. Abnormal dobutamine
study with development of rapid atiral fibrillation. No wall motion
abnormalities were seen. Lopressor was given….(To stop the Afib.)
REASON FOR STOPPING
Arrhythmia.
STRESS ECG
Developed Afib, at times with aberrant conduction during test. There was a
maximum 1mm ST segment depression.
PARAMETERS
Target heart rate achieved. The patient did not exhibit chest pain during
drug infusion. The drug infusion was stopped due to atrial fibrillation.
REST LV WALL MOTION
The left ventricular wall motion is normal. Global systolic function is
normal.
STRESS LV WALL MOTION
The left ventricular wall motion is normal. Global systolic function is
normal.”
I’m just wondering what else they are going to find normal.

- Himself: Doing his Wednesday queue.
- Myself: The worst of this test was that the nurse couldn’’t get an IV started. Yesterday, I failed at all my afternoon chores falling asleep around 2 and waking at 4. Very embarrassed.
