I got there too early, and initially was completely over it after like 3 hours lol, but thankfully I got distracted by watching some of the races, the venomous snake show and the cat-breed show. There was a line-up for the cat-breed show which didn’t make any sense because once I got inside the marquee, there was plenty of space. Stupid humans ^rolls eyes^
Anyway, I loved all the kitty breeds and most were oh so cute. One breeder said she owned 20 cats lol.
So yeah, I made do and I’m pretty sure I saw everything. In past years, I’ve always missed out on seeing the cats, so it was good to finally see them and the talk was an added bonus. I loved the Maine Coon kitty. I didn’t bother with the animal nursery as it was all little kids (to be expected) but I’m sure it would have been very cute.

I didn’t even have a dagwood dog OR buy showbags. I really am getting old. I did instead buy some varieties of Rocky Road (Original, Mint and Orange) and also a big stick of pepperoni. It’s so cool seeing all these local suppliers in one place, and I don’t understand why it’s so damn hard to find them in stores in everyday life, or maybe there’s like one or two. I’m probably just shopping in the wrong places, because of course I’d love to support local businesses.

But anyway, enough of me being a boring grown-up (HA, as if I’m grown-up), I’ll just post some piccies I took, which are probably the same as previous years I’ve gone.

Me wasting time. The sun was behind me, I’m not trying to look ‘cool’ ha.

It’s very dry. There was a lot of talk about the drought and how bad it is in Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Some 80-year old farmers are saying they’ve never seen it as bad as it is.

I don’t expect anyone to watch like 12 mins of fireworks lol. Just go to 11:00 in to see the cool bit ha.

Apparently there was a ‘singles mingle’ on that night which Farmer Dave (one of the hosts and gay) was going to be at, but he’s really not my type, and everyone else there woulda been straight couples, so yeah nah. As if I’d have the guts to go anyway. I dunno how people do it.

Me on the way home lol
