My goodness! It’s been nearly two weeks since I posted here.
Everything is fine here. We are looking forward to another visit from daughter and granddaughter. (Not the granddaughter with the little boy,) They will get here late Thursday and leave Sunday. Another quick visit, but, hey! Keep ‘em coming.
Yesterday I booked reservations for us to fly out to California for a couple week’s visit with my sister and her tribe over Thanksgiving.
Mike is off again to Nashville later in the week. He’s doing some recording, writing and smoozing. I am not sure if Jeri is going with him or not. She’s been thinking about it.
Bob has had a couple of doctor appointments recently. Got cortisone shots in his knees. Seemed like that screwed up his blood sugar. Knees much better. Sugar settling down. Then he had to see his VA doc about his medications. Had a misunderstanding with the pharmacist about a change in the dosage that his cardiologist ordered.... He thinks he got that settled, but we are still waiting for the pills to arrive… Just one big round of pleasure.
These summer mornings are so beautiful! I love going out early. I have been doing my walking. Every day for three weeks now! I am proud of myself and my new walker. So much easier than walking with a cane. My route is short. It takes about 10 minutes. I need to figure out how to make it a little longer. I could do it again, later in the day, but this time of year we almost always have storms in the early evening… and I’m not going to try it after dark… I guess I could always walk the halls inside our building for ten or fifteen minutes…
They finally got everything replaced that got fried with the big lightning strike last month. The last thing that got fixed was the intercom at the front door. “They” say that lightning never strikes the same place twice…but now I hear that isn’t the case. I hope the next time it gets that close to this place, I’m long gone outa’ here!
