Just returned from the city after going to a lunchtime recital on a very big organ. Not only does it go very loud, but can be played very very softly to great effect. But believe me - when the organist pulled out all the stops (or as many as he needed) quite literally the earth moved - which is what you expect if a very large organ is used properly - right ladies?
