Addendum of sorts in Packrat

A continuation regarding my last topic. I looked up Juliette Augusta Kinzie's history and saw that the "Old Indian Agency House" where she lived in Portage, Wisconsin still stands and is now an historic site about a couple of hours' drive from Prairie du Chien, one of my homes away from home that I love very much. I could make a day of it! I used to drive two hours to one of my favorite pow wows each night it went on (they are held during the weekends) and then back two hours. (Of course, I was younger then and rabid about dancing.) It would be a fun trip to take with the Wordsmith, although he's now again a working man. Still, it's doable, and I'll be heading that way a couple of times by summer.
