More fireworks in At the foot of the hill

Mother Nature is celebrating the 4th of July in these parts. More thunder and lightning yesterday, and a cats & dogs rain storm. I left the bedroom window open and had a squishy carpet when I went to bed. A flower pot on the deck got blown over. I think I can save the plant. We’ll see…
Meanwhile, our maintenance people are working with the security company and electricians to get things back working like they should after Friday’s big flash-bang. They have improvised and we are getting by just fine, now that the elevator is functioning…
We are excited about company coming for the weekend. They will begin the 700 mile journey late this afternoon and drive halfway. Should get here at least by early afternoon tomorrow. We are so anxious to see them. They will have to start back home Saturday. I wish they didn’t live so far away....
