Light Storms and the other storms … in The odd entries from life …….

Lola has had an unfortunate morning and Ziggy only had to brave one of the elements, after taking Ziggy out I can only day the weather is very English; that is understated! It was never going to be a great day, the forecast did promise a eighty percent chance of rain, and there was some wind in the mix, and what we have is another storm, this time it isn’t from the west but the north; I was wishing for a change in the weather – but a change in direction wasn’t quite what I had in mind!

Sweetheart likes to be up first, so she’s takes Lola out while I’m getting ready for the day, while I was in the bathroom it got noticeable darker, to a point where I had to turn on the light. Out side I could hear great gusts of wind thrashing the trees, and now and then rainstorms passing with the wind, when I walked through the kitchen with Ziggy, Lola was a white ball of spiky damp fur on her bed; Ziggy had only the wind to face up to the wind!

Last nights Aurora display was every thing you could wish to see, but I don’t think it came south enough to be seen in Cornwall, the BBC News site had some wonderful photographs, the nearest to here was taken in south Gloucestershire and Foxley, Norfolk. It’s time like this I think perhaps we should have moved north, rather than south; but I doubt the family would agree!
