I don't have much to update about. It's cold. I'm busy with work, work, and work. Last weekend was my weekend at the airport. I washed my car. Excitement ensued.
On Tuesday I had to work at 7AM. When I started my car my heater wasn't working again. It blew another fuse. So I had to drive to work Ace Ventura style, which wasn't really enjoyable when it was -25F. After work I got some new fuses and swapped it out and it's working again. I made sure to put the spare fuses in the glovebox in case it happens again. I have made two connections. One, it has broken twice now after I have washed my car. Two, it breaks when it's really fucking cold. It isn't supposed to get much above zero for at least another week, so hopefully we can limp it through the rest of winter, although blizzard season is coming.
Ugh, fuck, SD. You win. I heard on the news we are at about 57 days below freezing this winter.
That same morning I Ace Ventura'd it to work, N's truck died on his way to the airport. He had to fly to St Louis/Chicago/West Bend/ect so he hasn't been able to take a look at it as of yet. He should be back Friday or Saturday, so he should be able to work on it then.
I'm pretty excited about my new calendar app on my iPhone. The iPhone calendar is shitty so this one is a vast improvement. I have all my work schedules on it. For some reason I was pretty good at keeping track of two jobs but adding a third has been more difficult.
As for the new job it is actually going very well. Nothing mind-blowing but I'm learning fast and I like the people I work with. My hours will stabilize in another week or so, I'll be picking up between 21-26 hours a week at the bank, plus my normal 40 hours per week, plus my once-a-month weekend at the airport.
My friend Haley has exposed me to the meme Doomba, weaponized Roomba vacuums. Hahaha OMG. They should sell them like that at Walmart in Huron.
That's all, amigos. <3 Sarah
Oh, and my mom is losing her job again. The company she works for is closing its operation in Watertown. Nobody is really surprised (they sold the company last year, outsourced a bunch of jobs to India, and closed two branches already) but she isn't impressed.
