Finally! Here comes summer in At the foot of the hill

Spring this year has not been the nicest one that I can remember. Cold and gray. Wet and windy. Very few mornings nice enough to loll on the deck with my coffee and my man… Maybe that will change now that summer is here.
Some good things going on around here. First of all, our youngest grandson (formerly called “Rusty” in my blogs) will be returning from his exchange study in New Zealand. He gets home Sunday. We haven’t seen so much of him anyhow over the last three years that he has been in college, but golly! I have missed him while he’s been way down there!
Just hours before his plane gets in, his dad (singer/songwriter, Mike) boards another flight heading east to Nashville where he will spend a week meeting with publishers, PR people, his writing buddies, and, oh, yah! recording an album of his songs.
And then, it’s July. Looking forward to a visit from the great grandson. And his mom, and her mom and dad. Baby isn’t a baby already. He’s walking, trying to talk and growing like a weed. They will be here July 3-6. Can’t wait to see him–and the others, of course.
