Another two months? in A small but passable life.

Since the last entry I’ve read six more books:

“Aurora” by Kim Stanley Robinson
“The Uninhabitable Earth” by David Wallace-Wells
“Inadequate Equilibria” by Eliezer Yudkowsky
“Team Human” by Douglas Rushkoff
“The Night Window” by Dean Koontz
“Horizon” by Barry Lopez

The end game, the goal: A comfy chair, a window with a view of the sky, a nice lamp, and a pile of unread words beside the chair. Check and check.

This May had only two 100 degree days. Last May, which most of it we weren’t here for, there were fourteen days 100 degrees or hotter.

And yesterday was our first 110 degree day of the year.

Oh yeah, I’ve paid off the child support. $40,018. Paid in full. Not bad considering my lifetime earnings are just shy of a quarter million.

Anyway, that’s all I have for now.
