Roulette in Poetry

My astrological design
Carves pieces of my heart and mind
I become lost
Inside of time
Stressed
Passed out
And depressed
My veins cry
As my blood
Screams, drips, and dries

Scabs and scars
Prevent the feeding of wounds
My past
Is the sum of today
Unable to predict a future
When the scabs and scars
Heal and go away

I can hear the whispers of torture
Glide gently through the wind
Stabbing my ears
As my mind remembers
The memories of what was
So that I never become
The potential I was meant to be
Soaking the lies
In a drugged induced mind

When will you understand
That death is not defeat
Only a release
From the prison
That distorts energy
So I’ll let the compass spin
And play roulette
With all my sins
Traversing time
Riddling the All’s mind
Until I can no longer see
With my own two eyes
As I transform
My body and mind
