What a frustrating couple of days! in At the foot of the hill

Like I said, I lost my facebook and can’t get it back Saturday. Maybe some “Geek” could get it for me, I don’t know.
Then Sunday we went to the theater with our Senior Club. The production was “Sister Act”. The show was great. What talent! What voices. What dancing. What ENERGY! Trouble was the stage is on the second floor and you have to climb up steep steps to the somewhat crowded seats and we were on the next-to-top row (of course) and my legs don’t climb very well any more. It’s quite a walk from the nearest parking and the streets and sidewalks are crowded in downtown Littleton so I was shaky when we got to the theater. They do have a freight elevator up to the stage so I didn’t have to climb those stairs. The show was two hours plus intermission, so I sat in that small seat with my knees nearly touching the seat in front of me for the whole time. Going down stairs is even harder for me than going up.
We made it thru the back stage to the elevator and crowded in along with a multitude of other handicapped seniors, wheel chairs, walkers and all.
Long story short, I stumbled in the foyer on the way out. One of the actors from the play caught me and steadied me while my dear husband, walking a bit ahead of me and not noticing, made his way thru the crowd and right on out the door. I finally got my balance and limped on out to the sidewalk where we were supposed to meet the rest of the group and walk together to our dinner destination. I guess the others were still trying to get down the stairs and gathering inside.
Then it was back down the street which was even more crowded than it was when we came up and to the restaurant where we had reservations for dinner. There were only 12 of us for dinner as some of the club members couldn’t stay. They had our table ready and there weren’t many other people there as it was 5:00, a little early for the dinner crowd.
The house specialty was pizza…not my favorite, but it’s okay once in awhile. I have NEVER had worse!!!! Bob and I had ordered a medium. I ate less than one slice. He tried a second. I don’t know why we brought the rest of it home… Right now it’s on the deck waiting to be taken down to the dumpster. I stinks too bad to have in the house.
At some point during dinner, I discovered that my phone was gone! I had used the rest room earlier and thought it might have fallen out of my pocket in there. I rushed back, but no. Not there. I remembered having it in the theater when I silenced it before the show started and put it back in my pocket. We were sitting across the table from the couple who made the arrangements for the outing so I asked him if he had their phone number. He did so he tried calling theater. Got a lengthy recording, but no real person. He jumped up and took of back up the street (he’s in a lot better shape than Bob and I). A few minutes later he returned with my phone in his hand. Said the door was locked, but there was somebody inside who let him in and told him he could go up and look. He interrupted a rehearsal for the next production, but went to where I sat and sure enough, there it was beside the seat.
It was only a short walk back to our car. When we got in I got all choked up and shed a few tears.. I was mad at myself for even trying this outing. We’ve been to that theater many times before but had stopped going because I knew how hard it was…and that was before I got this feeble…
So should I just give up? Or what?
