stonewall, being conceited, history. women’s rights. parade for all, dr. king. setp up. dutch. owing patrons debt june 28, 1969. acceptance.
i thought the Holocaust was over. but apparently not. i’m ref. to the Neo Nazis Pride news story. again. this is our month. not an excuse to murder, attack, traumatise or otherwise hurt. in some way. members. of the LGBTQ+ comm. like come on. this is outrageous. again if someone is that amazingly homophobic. then just leave. get off the bus. leave the church. leave the parade. i really really. don’t care where they go just so long as they go elsewhere. i’m not being offensive i’m not bashing. i’m stating my v. strong v. passionate opinion. no i’m sorry Neo Nazis. but what you’re doing is wrong. just like it was during the Holocaust. it ends here and now. and it has to. and it should. this. stops. now. We’re not stepping aside any longer. and this is why. these events will never be ok nor accepted. so no. i don’t accept this. i can’t really change it but i won’t accept it either.
no, again. we’ve always been LGBTQ+ and always will be. we’re not goin anywhere. we’re here to stay. this. is. our. month. no we’re stepping up. Step up. proLGBTQ+ and always will be. damn right we should have Pride parades. we are. peacefully protesting. they are angry. and proud. and sad. and emotional. and here to celebrate. we can’t actually literally change what they are. No we can’t. just like. a tulip can’t change into a lily. this is us. we are who we are. i/we know where i’ve/we’ve been.
it’s just it’s so senseless. we’re the ‘mockingbirds’ they ‘shot’ us. i’m pretty sure that’s a sin as one of my fave quotes goes. if it was for mercy sure i would understand it. but. i don’t think it is.
stonewall all over again.
so apparently. during the Neo Nazi pride thing. the Neo Nazis. had as in actually got........get this. a police escort. no to the parade let that one sink in. godamn it’s like Stonewall all over again. during stonewall the police came to the LGBTQ bar. only no one was escorted in no actually everyone was taken out [i mean that literally] or they left. like as in out of the bar. this Neo Nazi event was in detroit of course it was in detroit. that’s where the race riots were in the ‘60’s. - actually there were race riots everywhere - my god...........the police. were the ones who made all this possible well would you like police after this? again. not all of them are like this. and again. similiar to Stonewall. wait. ok so are Neo...........oh. wait. so no in a sense neo nazis and um. white supremacists are the same. in that. they think they’re better then everyone. yeah ya know what that’s called? being conceited. it’s worse then that actually.
This is. amazingly similiar to what happened during stonewall. the riots. omygod. one of the first people to fight back against. police brutality during the riots on june 28, 1969. was. sylvia riviera. and marsha p. johnson. thank god. i hate that they had. no they had. to do that. as a result of at the time homosexuality. being illegal. i love that they fought for our rights but i hate why. thank you ladies. so much. so much love and respect to yall. they fought so we could survive. and in some cases so we could literally actually survive. well. that’s what survival is. we’re not even going to take that now we’re just going to peacefully protest is all. the Neo Nazis thought apparently. unless i’m wrong. that the LGBTQ+ people who were there in detroit at the parade. were going to hurt them. oh i’m sorry but that’s a little absurd and a little hilarious. i mean we’re already fighting back by peacefully protesting by having the parades so. right yeah ok. that’s not what we’re about. far as i know LGBTQ+ people are not about um. nonpeacefully protesting. war-ing, i suppose? battling that’s the word. sorry. unless we actually have to for our own damn survival. but other then that no we’re cool. yeah we’re the problem. no we’re not but thinking that way is. so fukin backwards and ridiclous. they were taught their beliefs. the concept. of being worse then conceited. we weren’t taught to be homosexual. they just are. so yeah we’re stuck this way they can’t change it. i’m not saying that’s bad bc in fact it’s not. no i’m saying that. er i mean. we just are this way. we have no control over our sexuality. it’s not like they decided to be LGBTQ+. no why the fuk would we when we have events like this in our history? exactly. we wouldn’t. i don’t think i would. a tree isn’t choosing to be a tree. and i’m not choosing to be bisexual. and not even our history even just. currently w/ events such as these going on today. nobody does. over theirs.
whereas. w/ the people who are Neo Nazis and white supremacists. i’m pretty sure that’s something that was taught. and certain things can either be unlearned. or people can see something completely differently. i read a book on it in fact. white supremacy. the detroit police were protecting them. yeah again. unless they’re provoked..........and apparently. the people who made an effort to intervene. were bruised. yeah well in the news story of Matthew Shepherd he was beaten and then. well i won’t give more details. and. ok so what happened recently in detroit isn’t the same as police brutality. ok. well that’s why i looked it up so i’d know. no what happened in detroit was. abuse. by the police of all people. yeah that’s illegal do yall get that? and those who intervened were fighting for. the rights. of the LGBTQ+ people to. be there and peacefully protest. for us. thank god. thank you. the Neo Nazis were armed. far as i know the LGBTQ+ people weren’t. we had nothing outside ourselves to defend ourselves w/. only us our own physicality and those who made an effort to intervene. and i wasn’t even there.
this is a lot like the pink star thing during the Holocaust. my god. my god. gay men. had to wear a pink star. to indicate they were gay. no. they didn’t choose to be outed. they were forced into it. no one should ever be forced into being well. outed. Neo Nazis. Homophobes. White supremacists. once again. leave the parade even before you get there. leave the bus leave the church just. leave. i don’t care where you go just. leave. go elsewhere. and same for the police who are like this. once again not all of them are no i know. correct me if i’m wrong but i thought the war terminated nazism but evidently not. no this is not ok it will never be ok and i will not accept it. no this ends here and now. it. stops. now. and i’m hoping even just by me posting that it’ll make a slight difference. cause no. this. should not. ever happen. this is our month not yours and in fact there are no months or days or periods of time that are yours. cause that doesn’t. fuking. exist. frankly i’m appalled. btw. again. thank you to those in detroit who made efforts to intervene. on behalf of the LGBTQ comm. this from. a v. passionate, angry, strongly opinionated, powerful. accepting bisexual woman who. doesn’t live in detroit and never has. but thank you.
this. ends. now. it has to. this. stops. now.
i had that wrong. it was a lesbian couple. on the london bus who were attacked cause they wouldn’t kiss for men. ok well. we’re not being LGBTQ for men. like this isn’t a choice. the 4 men physically attacked the women? ok also. this is about women’s rights. not just LGBTQ. and human rights. um no that’s not ok.
our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter - dr. king. not just regarding sex. violence. but also regarding LGBTQ+ rights. something of course i’m v. passionate about. don’t let your lives end. in terms of that quote. step up. don’t step aside.
on the concept of straight pride parades:
alrite yall. alrite. firstoff i have nothing against straight people. [yes. we know.]. or parades. [well i should hope not.]. i don’t know a lot about this news story so. bare that in mind. but ya know what i do. have a problem w/? homophobes. again you do not need. a straight
pride parade when. you haven’t been through a godamn thing based on your sexuality. [ok again. there are. straight people who are proLGBTQ.]. and only. your sexuality which is straight. were the stonewall riots about you? was the pink star thing about you? was the Pulse shooting. about you. i rest my case. hey you want to support us great. i love that. [no actually i’m being serious.]. it seems to me that. regarding straight pride parades. being straight is a first world problem. like i kindof get it bc. LGBTQ+ people have our own parade. yeah bc we
actually need one. ‘well how come they get one and we don’t?’. ok. read my examples. yes that’s how we feel that’s why we have those. so that we can feel ok. exactly get it? ‘life’s not fair’ no. that’s not news where ya been? [i mean. it’s not.]. i feel like homophobes are
behind this but i don’t actually know. and btw: yall aren’t better then anyone just bc you, whoever you are. are straight and don’t like LGBTQ+ people. no nobody is better then anybody i was not raised w/ that. and frankly. that’s conceited, insulting and offensive if my theory
behind this but i don’t actually know. and btw: yall aren’t better then anyone just bc you, whoever you are. are straight and don’t like LGBTQ+ people. no nobody is better then anybody i was not raised w/ that. and frankly. that’s conceited, insulting and offensive if my theory
about homophobes being behind this is correct. if not. point still stands. and i can’t stand people who are conceited. regardless. ok we get it you don’t like us. like i don’t think it needs to be advertised. [again. this is based on my theory. which may be incorrect.]. my
harvey milk. #slay and btw: on a good note. to the straight people out there who are proLGBTQ: i love you. thank you. you are awesome. like. yes.
but. there should be a parade for anybody. and anyone can join it. regardless ya know? god that’s so cute but like i actually mean it. wait that’s kindof. the whole. concept behind Pride parades. yeah i think i knew that though. no but. it’s still great. a parade for all. yes.
the only problem i have w/ people who are homophobic? is that. but other then that. but i no that’s. pretty high on my list. of things.
i love Pride i do. it’s great. but the origin of it is so sad. the first pride parade in the u.s. at least was in 1970. it’s like ireland. in that. um. ireland is so beautiful now and filled w/ kind, goodhearted people. but. during the famine. …well. it was different. irish pride that makes it sound like there are irish lesbians/LGBTQ+. and there probably are. no but like 2 meanings see? i’m of irish descent and i’m also. a member of the LGBTQ+ comm. so. yeah there you go.
dutch. in amsterdam they celebrate Pride every day. i did not feel weird. bringing up the topic. of same sex couples when i was over there. it’s so natural there as natural. as riding bicycles which is really funny actually. cause for some. there are bi-cycles. it’s as much a part of their culture as their form. of transportation. as it should be ya know? let’s just all smoke a bowl and hopefully have a good Pride month. or not smoke a bowl if that’s not your thing. that’s cool too. this is kindof the belief system of our comm. cause that’s the kindof world i want to live in who’s w/ me? cmon! but that’s. our world of our comm. and. those who are. proLGBTQ+. world i want to live in who’s w/ me? cmon! but that’s. our world of our comm. and. those who are. proLGBTQ+.
we do. we really do. owe the patrons who, in june 1969. fought back. we really do. owe them a debt. thank you. and ya know the best way to do that is to accept those in the comm. and to be accepting of them. they fought for our rights. so we could be ok. so we could have
Pride parades. and be ok. so that could be our place. maybe in our own small way we can activate what they gave us. even. just on twitter or. putting a note somewhere that says ‘End Homophobia’ or whatever it is for you. being at Pride. ya know whatever. maybe we may never fully re-pay it. but i like to think that’ll be at 90% some day. however ya do it just. pay that back ya know? and for those who already have or are starting to. righton. keep going. wow i’m getting a little emotional here. [well are you doing that? i already have by being an accepting person.
straight people. i’m sorry but no. yall don’t get a parade. [btw. i think those who are straight. and proLGTBQ+ would agree w/ me on this. i hope.]. cause ya know what? you didn’t have to feel like you weren’t secure. in a bar in new york in 1969. because. of your sexuality. or
in nebraska in the 1990’s. same w/ san francisco in the late 1970’s. and wyoming in the 1990’s. fl. in 2016. wherever the hell it was. and is. even now. no. alrite? like i got straight people i know. and like. same w/ LGBTQ+ people. no it’s the parade and it’s the concept behind
it. nowhere in history. were straight people discriminated against. now let me be clear: based on. their sexuality. and that alone. nowhere in history was that ever illegal. to be straight. nowhere. in history. were they beaten or shot to death. or murdered. bc. they’re.
straight. so no. i kindof think yall don’t have the right to have a parade. i got nothin against yall. again. it’s the concept behind this. you want to have a parade for something else that is perfectly fine. but no. not based on your completely straight sexuality. don’t throw
yourselves a parade. bc of how lucky you are. no thank god our comm. the LGBTQ+ one got through this. and that we even have a comm. thank god. no really i mean this sincerely. once again. that’s why we have a parade.
it’s not like i think ‘oh bc i’m white all white people should get a parade’ no actually i don’t think that that’s fukin ridiclous. and frankly arrogant. no and that’s not me. cause we don’t need one at least not in the u.s. and i get that as i have proven by this tweet. and i’m
totally fine w/ the fact that i’m not gettin one based. upon. the fact that i’m white. like ok. that’s cool. no problem we don’t need it alrite move on. again. bisexual woman of irish descent. i mean there’s no white history month as funny as that just sounded. [well i mean.
there’s not it’s not my fault. what i’m not wrong. prove me wrong. go ahead. prove me wrong. i challenge you. [and i’m not drunk atm so it’s ok to accept this challenge.]. i’ll wait. ...................... ‘um..........i........wow there is. no white history month’ see ya can’t can you? bc it doesn’t exist. right no exactly. that’s my fukin point.]. yeah well ya know what the real problem is? is straight white men who. hang on. are homophobic. and against women’s rights. yep called it. check. mate. nailed it.
thank you. that is all for right now.
