Gma Last week of Feb 1990. Me today in Grandma and me

Gma Thur 2-22-1990 37 rain and snow. Ended by noon. High near 40. Chuck was down but we were already feeding cows. Shut them back on North 40. Skelgas put a new fan on our stove. I sprouted potatoes.

Gma Fri 2-23-1990

24 and sunny. Made it up to around 42. We went to the ASCS office, paid them and Pop signed our papers again. Kathy called. I dumped about ½ inches from rain gage.

Gma Sat 2-24-1990

26 and a cold NW wind. Butch and Sharon did all the morning chores. I called Jean. Chuck called about doing chores.

Gma Sun 2-25-1990

1. We went to Jeans. It began snowing when we got there, snowed until about 3. We got home about 7. Sharon and Butch did our chores. We ate dinner at Rax, supper at Bethany D.Q. No snow before we got to Pattonsburg.

Gma Mon 2-26-1990

18 Sunny of course since we were just at home. Took Zephur to town and washed the salt away. Chuck brought down a couple bales of clover hay for the calves.

Gma Tue 2-27-1990

We left early to do laundry. Was home a little after 8. Had a high of 44. Did our chores after we got back. Went to town afternoon and signed and mailed our income tax papers.

Gma Wed 2-28-1990

29 to start. HIgh of 40. Grundy electric was back to try to get our outside light working right. They found a defective ground wire. Not much else going on.

Me Tue 2-25-2014

I only have to work six hours tomorrow so I was hoping to go to lunch with Lynn but it turns out she is taking her mother in law to the casino. I should make out a list of all the things I have been putting off doing with the no time excuse and do them. Gina shared a post on FB along the lines of I’ll do something nice for you if you are one of the first 5 people to respond. It wasn't until after I responded that I realized I’m supposed to pay it forward by doing nice things for other people. I’m going to do the two ladies who I work with first. They both like office supplies so I need to go to Office Depot. I also want to pick up a headset for my computer so I can use Skype.

Forgot to mention that Snoop's blood work came back and all his numbers were really good. The vet didn't even want to follow up on Snoop's heart condition which I cant understand. On Saturday she kept telling me he could have a stroke and be paralyzed. I made the decision after fighting him for a week when he was first diagnosed that it wasn't worth the trauma we both had to undergo in me chasing him down and pulling him out from under the bed to stuff a pill down his throat.

Good Things I did for me

Ran 5 miles. I think I should be able to count that twice as I had to miss Zumba to run the 5 miles. I was tough on myself and said since I didn't get up early to get the 5 miles in I couldn't go to Zumba. Maybe next time the alarm goes off I will get up instead of hit snooze.

Stayed in calorie range

Gratitude I’m grateful that the guy at the gym was able to find my ipod. It fell when I was on the Stairmaster and I hunted and hunted but couldn't find it. I was sure it had fallen into the machine but the guy found it inside the metal box that holds the electric outlets.
