Got him shaking in his boots in Testing.... testing... 1, 2, 3...

I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I despise my new boss. Combine those two and you get the formula for an awkward working environment! Haha

About each day last week he would hand me more crap to do. Remember we're the only two people working on two hospitals' finances, so obviously my plate is already more full than it should be. But he wants to hand me crap and say, "make this a priority". I give him a deadpanned, "Ok", don't look his direction with a look of disgust on my face

So on Friday morning, he had more crap for me and was showing me the papers. I notice the papers were shaking, and he was fumbling through them. And he was stumbling with his words. Good! I want him to feel that awkward every time the idea of passing any work onto me occurs. And that work he gave me? He wanted it done that morning, which I did do. Just didn't tell him I was done until he asked later that afternoon :P

I could put my two week notice in right now and this place would be beyond screwed! The CFO told me they finally hired someone and she should be coming in next month. Then spewed BS about his plans to groom me to takeover. I don't want anymore work to do. That extra accountant would still make this staff a skeleton crew

Everytime the CFO has told me this plan on moving me up to Comptroller one day, I just say, "that's cool" or something like that to acknowledge his plan. But nothing enthusiastic like, "I can't wait to learn more and take this position". Again, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't lie. Really I'm thinking, "Oh well, I'm gone the second I have another job lined up and there's no changing that". They're lucky if I fulfill a two week notice

moral of the story: When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat

Have a Nice Day!
