Happy Birthday Kayla and Timmy! in In the Meadow

Kayla and Timmy are seventeen years old today. My babies are growing up! In truth, they are twelve months away from being grown-ups. This morning I was reflecting on how much they have changed since we had their sixteenth birthday party last year. They now have driving permits and are getting ready to take the test for the drivers’ license. Timmy has been elected one of the captains of the soccer team for next fall. Kayla had her first dance recital as a lead. They have matured academically and socially. They have become more empathetic and considerate of others. Kayla and Timmy both helped organize the Earth Day Clean Up at school. I am proud of my young adults!
