I've been cleared to return to work Monday after being home for six weeks with this broken arm. I was really hoping he'd say I need a few more weeks to recover, but oh well. I don't know how I'm going to deal with having to drag on a bra and leave the house every day again.

Go to work with a half-dragged-on bra. Maybe they'll send you home again. How'd you break your arm?

I went to the acupuncturist for treatment of pain in my right shoulder and fell off the stool used to get up on the table. I landed on my right arm and broke the humerus a little above the elbow. Luckily, there is no radial nerve damage since the surgeon was able to work around it. I need to post pictures of the wicked scar.

Ouch! If that isn't irony, I don't know what is. Are you feeling well enough to work?

It's going to take some getting used to. I still have pain on the inside of my elbow and the whole upper arm is weak from lack of use. The guys in my department already know they will be doing my heavy lifting for a while.
If it were up to me, I'd stay home longer. (Of course!) I'm just now able to enjoy the time off since I'm able to ride in a car without too much discomfort. For some reason, they place sewer grates in the pavement here right where the passenger side tires hit. It was agony at first.
Right after I came home from the hospital, a representative from the acupuncturist's insurance company called me. I was flying high on percocet when I told her how the accident happened and why I was there in the first place. "But my shoulder is fine now."
I had her laughing then apologizing for laughing, "It's not funny, but it is."
