When It Rains in Book Six: Trying to Hold On 2019

It has been raining a lot. I mean… Spring and what all, so of course it has. But it is something I get to hear about a lot as Wife wants to burn all the leaves that the previous homeowner just… stacked in the fire pit before leaving.

Of course… since things have been busy around here, the “When it Rains” also applies. Within the first twenty minutes of sitting down at my desk?

(1) Defense Counsel warning me about a “procedural requirement” he felt bad about filing (one I had already seen last night)
(2) Juvenile Court Counsel informing me that while his client is still massively using Drugs, the other parent seems to be doing well… so how about we change course on the Juvenile Case?
(3) District Judge denying Meth-Head motions (thankfully, frees up my morning in a big way)
(4) DETAILED description (revulsion shudder) of a child rape for a case
(5) Followed (as I should have expected) almost immediately by some asshole bitching about being required to pay a ticket for going 85 in a 55 MPH zone.
(6) Then being told that I’ll have to take an OWI/Child Endangerment Case because my boss is conflicted out.... oh, by the way, this same Defendant has 4 OTHER open OWI cases in 3 different counties.

That’s how my day starts. Then, as I filter through all of that… crack lightning outside… and my computer goes dark. Wah-oh! Luckily nothing wrong.... just remote server interruption. Instantly got my PC back up. Just… additional elements of the morning.

Speaking of additional elements of the morning… I’m guessing it is Racist Cousin’s Day Off today because my Facebook Notifier was dinging every 2 minutes alerting a new post. But at least this time it confirms a deeply held worry and suspicion of mine. Racist Cousin does “read the news” but no source less conservative than The Daily Caller. Founded by Tucker Carlson… so… yeah, consider it an extension of Fox News. The World Media Report states the following about this “News” Site:

Because do you know why it is being reported right now? I mean… other than generalized Islamaphobia and Trump Worship? Because this is one of the holiest months on the Muslim Calendar. So… as far as Fear Propaganda? White People are more likely to see Muslims gather, celebrate their faith, and worship openly this month… so let’s do everything we can to make these White People fear the Muslims so that when they see a gathering of Muslims celebrating Ramadan… they’ll instantly think jihadist!

Assholes. This is how you get Faiths fighting and killing each other WHEN OTHERWISE WE WOULDN’T BE! There are a lot of GOOD Jewish People, GOOD Muslim People, GOOD Christian People who don’t want to see our congregations get slaughtered due to some fuckholes misinterpreting faith and using it as a weapon of destruction. But the more Fox Jackholes push “Muslims will kill us all!” The more White Conservative Americans will think, “It must be true. Tucker Carlson said it!” And the cycle will continue and get worse. If Jamal kills Brenda for her faith; and Gunter kills David for his faith; and Abraham kills Ibrahim for his faith.... then they’ll all just keep killing each other!

Hateful Vile Trumpists celebrating hurting people as a National Policy make me sick. And furious.

But then… I’m an attorney… I’m a government attorney… I’m a government attorney who took my Ethical Oaths and Professional Practice Oaths seriously. So the “Hey, look. Listen!” news that really boils my britches is all of this White House Gives Middle Finger to Law bullshit.

Now… as an attorney… who paid a lot of money to be educated in the laws of this Nation… and as a man who understands how there are and can be problems with those laws… I have to say… the fact that Trump and his administration are now (more than ever) OPENLY and ACTIVELY violating the law… to the point of telling people to IGNORE SUBPOENAS… is horseshit. If Enron had told their people to ignore subpoenas… everyone associated with that case would have done jail time for that. If the government demanded YOUR tax returns, and you told them to fuck off… you would at least be facing serious fines if not jail time.

And what truly drives me absolutely crazy and, honestly, feeling despair… is that this blatantly mafioso illegal ass shit… hasn’t impacted any of his GOP Support and hasn’t meant dick to his Trumpist Support Base. You cannot be a legitimate political party ESPECIALLY BEING THE PARTY THAT CLAIMS TO HONOR LAW AND ORDER if you support someone openly, actively, and unambiguously suborning unlawful acts.

And let’s not forget the fatigue and sorrow of all of these damned school shootings.


Consider this passive-aggressive; but I will say… after reading many of my most recent received notes, it is nice to see that people are seeing me the same way I see myself.

But… even KNOWING that N is not a Roman Numeral… and that M would rarely, if ever, be at the END of a set of Roman Numerals… NXIVM always looks like a Copyright date to me! Anyone else? Just me? Well since I’m being random and not offering much explanation for things today… I just wanted to say.. though I’m sure it is obvious… that I hate myself for finding Liz Katz so attractive. She is clearly a representation of things I am morally opposed to. She is a Porn Actress that wanted to become a Cosplay/Twitch “Model” but made damned sure her content always bordered on (or simply WAS) Pornographic. I’m fine if you’re in Porn. I’m fine if you’re in Cosplay Porn. But doing CosPlay Porn while demanding that you’re NOT doing CosPlay Porn bothers me in a fundamental way that I can’t quite put into words. And so… I feel this conflicted response. This woman is very attractive. She does CosPlay. She plays video games. Yet… I genuinely am angry at myself for finding her so attractive.

Though… saying that… Pintrest/Instagram keeps being… Super Creepy. Wait, that wasn’t demonstrative enough. They are being SOOOOOOOOOOOOPER creepy! So… I tend to have a pattern. Now, I’ll admit… there are times in my life where I was… less outright about that. 2010, the movie “Kick Ass”.... Hit Girl was awesome and you could tell by watching that Chloe Grace Moretz was going to grow up to be a beautiful woman. Now… did my 26 year old self think, “Yeah, she’s fuckable!” NO. Did my 26 year old self think “If she were five years older, and I was 4 years younger”? Yes. But I wasn’t an adult man thinking “Let’s sexualize the little girl!” Of course, this is usually when someone comes rushing in with a comment like “What about Hermoine Granger? Ass!” Well… let’s discuss that. The first Harry Potter movie came out in 2001. Emma Watson was 11, I was 17. I definitely though, “This girl is going to grow up to be an amazing beauty.” But at no time was I thinking, “Yeah. She’s fuckable.” NOW I’ll admit… fully and without condition… that when the movie “Prisoner of Azkaban” came out? Yeah. I was smitten. That is where Ms. Watson went from “She’s going to grow up to be beautiful” became, “Holy shit, she’s a hottie!” PoA came out in 2004. She was 14, I was 20. So… yeah. Probably a bit creepy and wrong.
