Yes. I am. Friend never returned to the post. Perhaps she saw she was outnumbered when my other friends started jumping on her. Most people were done after she came in and said, “Television is the work of The Devil.” And how, pray tell, does an atheist not believe in God, but believe in the The Devil?? Very rhetorical question but that’s what I’m working with people.
At any rate, after years of seeing advertisements for Miss Saigon on commercials (going back to when I was a youth) I finally got to see it last night. It was amazing. I never knew the context other than it was during war time. I remember there being some kind of controversy, I think, but otherwise never knew much about it. This was a rated R musical for sure. LOL I loved it though. I haven’t been to a theater production in a while, with the last being a toss up between The Wizard of Oz or Dreamgirls at The Muny. Jennifer Holliday reprised her role as Effie and she did an outstanding job of it! At the beginning, I started giggling as I was taking in the entire scene (of Miss Saigon), because my inner 12yo boy saw the simulated sex. I was saying to myself, “I’m glad there are no children in here.” The end of the night, I noticed a young boy, maybe 10-13. LOL Fantastic show.
Got home and it was actually quiet. My son said the neighbor did have his TV on. As long as it was off when I got there, that was wonderful.
I just want to say that I love showering at night before bed because when I wake up in the morning, I just roll out of the bed and get dressed. Brush my teeth, wash my face, set it and forget it. Or I lay in the bed until the last moment possible.
So that’s all I got on it today.
Or at least for now. Take care all you happy people.
Kindest regards,
Sister
