Last warm day? in A small but passable life.

It was 43 degrees in the van last night at midnight. I crawled into my goosedown sleeping bag, but I did pull the pillow out and place it on top of the hood. Too warm for the hood of the sleeping bag.

It was 60 degrees in the van when I finally crawled out of bed a little before 11am. I got up and got dressed and walked to the store. I bought A four pound bag of sugar, a quart of milk, more instant coffee and Swiss Miss cocoa mix.

Once I got back to the van I restocked the Ziploc bags in my grocery tote, refilled the Tupperware sugar container and ate a bowl of cereal.

I picked up the book and continued reading.

By dusk the van had warmed up to 79 degrees. I ate a bologna sandwich and some chips for supper. I packed up and came over here to Hardee's. I had just a few pages of the book left to read. It was another Chris Hedges book- "Losing Moses on the Freeway: The Ten Commandments in America". I really liked this book. It gave an insight as to who the writer really is. I had to go to youtube to watch his speech at the 2003 Rockfort graduation. It's incredible that everything he said over ten years ago has taken place.

Tomorrow may not warm up enough to lounge in the van. It is only supposed to be 45 degrees and partly cloudy. I'll try to get up before noon and decide on my walk to the store whether I'll spend the day in the van or head over to the student union. Something hot heated up in the microwave sounds better than bologna.

Anyway, I've got another hour and a half to kill before bedtime. I guess I can start on the next book.
