The Curse of Finding Apartments in 2014

I've decided I hate apartment hunting. If I ever have to do it again, it will be too soon.
We're coming down to the wire now of when we wanted to be in a new place. Our top two picks had nothing in two bedrooms on the ground floor. Well, one did, but it was gone in the one day it took to get our applications filled out, print outs of our pay stubs and copies of our ID's.
Damnit.
That one sounded nice, too. Ground floor, all new everything.
Ben works his four hour shift today, so I've been calling around and found one that sounds promising. A townhouse, $650 a mo with water and trash included, a washer and dryer, $250 off the first month's rent, cable ready, in the school district I want (in fact, it's right across the street from one of the schools) and looks very nice both on the outside in person and in the pictures I saw online.
Funnily enough, when dad drove me around yesterday looking at apartments, I scoffed at him when he pointed out this one. It's so nice looking I figured it would be outside of our price range. Apparently not.
Hmm...wonder what time they close today.
Woot! They close at 6! Ben gets off here in just a few minutes at 2. Maybe we can go by there.
