Since I pick up mail for the tour company, I also get Madame's magazines, packages, etc. One benefit is that I am allowed to read said magazines--Fons and Porter's quilt magazine, Readers' Digest, etc. and then deliver them to Madame.

I have a Readers' Digest dated September 2013 and in it is the following:

"The Fur Is Flying

September 8 is National Hug your Hound Day. Keep that in mind when you're reading this opem, written from the perspective of your dog titled 'I Lose My Mind When You Leave the House:'

The plants are torn/ The garbage strewn/ The wires chewed/ And the couch and I had a fight/ Your bed is soaked/ Your liquor spilled/ Your TV smashed/ Your laptop no longer has any vowels/ There's a Kindle in the toaster/ there's a toaster in the toilet/ There's a toilet in the hallway/ There's underwear in my mouth/ I went places I should never go/ I saw a side of myself I should never see/ I said things to the cat I can never take back/ So please don't ever leave again/.

From "I Could Chew on This and Other Poems by Dogs" by Francesco Marciuliano'"

I love, love this. The more I read it, the more I like it.

That's all I have tonight. Today (Wednesday August 28) we sold 150 seats on all sorts of tours including 108 of our own. It was wild and wooly, frantic and demanding. We all arrived at the end of our day sane and still talking to each other. (Mostly).

Kara went home with a migraine around 2:30pm. I had a panic/anxiety attack that lasted almost 45 minutes and was really painful and disturbing. I don't wnat to know the WHY of it, I just want to regain what mind control I have over my body and encourage them to quit!

And the BEST news--I went to the post office this morning on the way to work because I knew, just knew, that my very first social security check would be in the box. It WAS!!! Hurrah, now I can call the 800 number and make arrangements for a debit card to be issued so that the money will be put into the debit card account the US government maintains for those of us who don't use bank accounts.

Hurrah!!! and Blessed be!

Oh congratulations! On the check. And getting something up here. Very exciting. Very very exciting. There are days when I am afraid I am going to say things to the cat that I can't take back. :) Especially when he won't let me sleep. And I don't have the excuse of being a dog.

What really helps me during panic attacks is stopping to take a few deep breaths and this is critical, exhaling through the mouth, like one is blowing all the air out. It slows the heart rate down. Still I am sorry you had that.
