... and plenty of it!

Monday 18 Feb.

Our weather people seem to think our stormy winter has passed, this morning it was wet but not windy; so I’ll take that as a improvement. At the park & ride car park the wind was ripping across the parked cars, with me arriving mid morning there are only parking spaces on the outer perimeter, it always seem a longer walk to the terminus when it’s raining, compared with my last trip into Truro it was better as I arrived at the terminus with my trousers damp at the knees; last time they were wet through!

We may still have rain, but now we also have some sunny parts of each day, but down on the lane you can see the aftermath of two and half months of stormy weather, the water running of the sides of the valley; to join the stream and flow down to the beach. Another sine of better times is seeing Planet Ice open over the weekend, I feel it is about time I had my first mascarpone and orange ice-cream of this year!!

Tuesday 19 Feb.

This morning began as yesterday finished, a clear sky and the welcome warmth of our sun, once I was washed and ready for the day I went in search of Ziggy, I couldn’t see him but his trailing lead took me to him! Sweetheart tells me Ziggy looks happy being taken out by me, I’m quite controlling with him as I have him on a short lead; the normal lead with the extra round my hand! With a short lead I have better control when he gets excited, as we walk back to the sun lounge Ziggy turned to the lane barking, he seems to not like strangers talking as they pass by, perhaps he is trying to make them pass by in silence! With the sort lead I can make him sit, then I have half control – he’s that sort of dog – so I have to bend to get his attention, he stops barking but is still full of barks; three quarter’s control with Ziggy is success and we go inside in silence!
