Daisy kitty (aka "Speshull Kitty"):
We'd lost her when we moved way back in summer. I'd given up hope that she'd return when I got a call from the microchip company. A man had found her and turned her into the shelter. 6 months later. She was home for barely a week when Steven left the door open and she decided to go outside. We realized she was outside when I saw one of the neighborhood cats chasing her. She almost made it into the house, but Moxie thought she was playing and chased her away from the door. We didn't see her again for weeks, but Dom's friends said they'd seen her around, so we kept hope, even though it was some frigid temps and crazy snow.
I put up signs on the street and one street over on each side. It was these signs that a neighbor saw and connected it to a posting from a cat rescue site on Facebook. Yay!
She's skinny, and she has a limp, but overall, she seems good. On a positive note, she's a lot more affectionate now. As if she's realized that people are generally good things. Her sister, Zoey (aka, "Fat Kitty"), growls at her now. She used to bully her a lot, but now Daisy just looks at her like, "Pfeh, yeah, right. I've been living on the streets, yo, so back off." If Zoey pushes it, Daisy will chase her. Looks like there's a new sheriff in town.
