You’re a famous person and a fan letter disturbs you. Write a letter to that fan.

(NOTE: I draw on experience for this letter, because this has happened to a person of a band who hails from Omaha.)

Dear Jane,

First of all, I want to thank you for the letter you sent me. I know you had to take time out of your busy day to write to me.

Next, I thank you for purchasing all my music. Part of the sales goes to various charities around the world.

There is something I want to ask you. Is the decision to sleep with a concert-goer during every song I sing, at every concert of mine. something that you REALLY want to do? Aren’t you worried about diseases and possible pregnancy? I am not judging you, more power to you if that is YOUR SOLE decision, not suggested by anyone else. If so, PLEASE take the time to ensure you are protected, along with being sober and clear-headed to give full consent. I don’t want my concerts to end up being a place that you hate or fear because someone hurt you.
