Tony and I had a perfectly lovely Valentine's Day. He had to work, of course, since it was Friday, but while at work he posted a very sweet post on Facebook for me. Of course I also did he same. We don't buy cards....we don't see the point. They end up in the garbage eventually, so why waste the money?
When he got home we got in our gym clothes and went and worked out. I have to say, I love going to the gym with him....we keep each other motivated and it's just nice to have something we do as a couple. Added bonus....it keeps us healthy too! LOL!
After we got home we showered (no, not together....get your minds out of the gutter!), got dressed up, and went out and had a wonderful dinner. There was good food, great conversation and lots of laughs. It really was a wonderful time.
When we got home I had every intention of sexing him up, but turns out we were both feeling a little full from dinner and so Tony suggested snuggling on the couch and watching The Princess Bride, which I had never seen. I know, I know, it's shocking that I've never seen it....what can I say? I somehow missed it. But I found it very cute, funny, and adorably cheesy...lol. After the movie Tony had to head to bed because he had to get up for work early this morning (overtime...yeah!). I stayed up for another hour or so, then headed there myself.
Poor Tony woke up, uh, in the mood, but I was too out of it to do much about it. I'll make it up to him tonight. Don't know if any of you know, but my hubby was in the Marines when he was younger. I bought a skimpy tank top that's red with yellow trimming and spaghetti straps and says Marines on it, and the red with yellow trimming panties say "Marine's Booty" on the butt. I think he'll like it ;-)
Today I have to run a few errands, go to church and get the lessons ready for the grade schoolers, stay for the 5:30 service, then come home and (hopefully) love up on my hubby.
Oh, in other great news, I got on the scales this morning and I'm down 75 pounds :-) :-) Unfortunately, even though I've lost a bunch of weight, my cholesterol isn't behaving....so the doctor had to put me on a cholesterol pill. I didn't understand why this was happening and was royally pissed....until I found out it can be a hereditary thing, and high cholesterol runs on both my mom and dad's side of the family....and they're all thin and in good health. So be it....all my other blood work is perfection, so I can live with this. I really don't have a choice, do I?
It seems like these last 7 pounds have come off rather quickly....but I cut out wheat and pasta and mainly live on yogurt, fruit, veggies, and lean meats. Wow! What a difference! And I gotta tell you...I don't feel so sluggish during the day anymore. Unless, of course, I have to take something for anti-anxiety, but that doesn't happen every day, thank goodness. I do hate the fact that I never know when it's gonna hit....it just comes out of nowhere. But thank God for pharmaceuticals! Oh, and prayer....prayer helps a lot too.
So anyway, I've rambled on long enough I think. I'm gonna finish watching The Cutting Edge (love this movie....80s, or course...lol) then get dressed and get my butt out the door and get my stuff done.
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!! xoxo
