I didn’t really plan on an entry today being honest. In fact the biggest thing I was going to do was .... possibly… but maybe not… run out for lunch and pick up a few groceries.

House note got paid and I got my first short term disability money (it’s 2 weeks worth and will be half that here on out).

Sammy got up and asked me how I was. He usually does. This morning is a bit odd. I can’t hear out of my right ear at all. Even with my hearing aid the sounds (from the bluetooth from my phone) seem 3-4 feet to my right and not IN my ear like they should. It’s worrisome being as hearing loss is a possibility with the gentamicin. It’s only the second day so I’m trying not to freak out too much. It’s probably the anesthetic.

I’m debating ordering Pizza cause I”m not so sure it would be safe to drive. I’m also not so sure there is a real choice as there is nothing for me to fix for dinner?.... I have 3 hrs to figure it out.

Anyway, the thing that actually triggered the entry was something Sammy just told me.

His friends have asked him to move in with them. He showed me a little video of the amazing apartment they would be moving in to and asked my opinion. I said 1) you’ll get a much better taste of being an adult 2)you’ll learn if you can live with friends 3)if you fail while you are still here (instead of in LA) there will be a place for you here. I followed that with, I support any decision he makes and ultimately it’s his choice. He then asked me if I could sign again for him on the lease. I will because he has given no issue with the car at all.

I’m actually very hopeful that he does. Not that I don’t like having him around. It just that honestly he’s here and doesn’t contribute at all.... to anything. I don’t mind really because I know how much we ARE helping but honestly I want him to KNOW how much we are helping. I think it would be a great learning experience for him. It wouldn’t effect the house itself much as far as general movements.... but bills would go back down for sure. He said they have to make the decision before March. So it would be relatively soon. I’m excited for him.
