Maybe I should wait for you...
But I can't...
Time is precious,
And scarce...
And its passage, quick as it is,
Leaves me weary and scarred.
Maybe I should wait for you...
No.
You're not paying attention anyway,
And what do I need with that?
I have things to do,
A life to live,
A heart to mend,
And so
Little
Time
Before and angel comes,
If there truly are angels, that is,
And the earth sucks my flesh and bones
Into the cold ground.
Come quickly now.
I won't wait.
Time says I can't,
And I agree.
