Ups and downs in At the foot of the hill

Sorry I haven’t been here the past several days. As you all know, my dear husband had open heart surgery on Tuesday. Our daughter is here from Montana for our moral support, physical support, communicator/interpreter, cheerleader, prayer partner and designated driver. We spend long, grueling hours sitting in the hospital, going up early and coming home late. Of course son Mike is keeping us all grounded, stepping up, asking the right questions and keeping Bob calm and “in the loop” when I get too emotional to explain when a hiccup comes along.
We have had a couple of those hiccups. The surgery itself has been declared a roaring success. Everything is progressing exactly as planned. However (and they tell us this is not unusual) he has been having some moments of frightening confusion and an issue of miscommunication with the night nursing staff on night. Mike had to go back up there late at night and get that straightened out.
Hopefully he had a better night last night…at least he didn’t call me in panic mode. Rhonda and I had a good nights sleep and we are getting a later start today.
Any prayers you can spare will be welcome.
