And sometimes the inspiration comes from the only things you see or feel when you close your eyes, and you let it dream..

“Jazz Beats”

Windows wreathed in iron
Wrought and corded cold
Therein lies the rhythm
That yearns escaping
From the jazz beats of my city
Spins the chorus of my soul

You are not of modest nature
Genuine, if all truth be told,
Speak louder my lady sinner
I lay awake here, always waiting
From the streetlights of my city
Parade the Avenue of my soul

The fairgrounds sit empty
Our ticket has been sold
The music quiets completely
No good times onward roll
Yet I speak in poetic weary
Tribute to the woman
I still breathe in
And the actions
Versus the words
That say it all

You are the jazz beats of my city
You are the second line to my soul
You are the spotlight of an angel
Crooked smile
Misshapen halo
And I am the devil’s heartbeat beating
And I am worth believing
I am worth believing!
If you ever dare to believe
In me at all

Kansas City won! Geaux Chiefs.. one game down.. another to go.. time for my New Orleans Saints to step up and beatdown the Philadelphia Eagles and free everyone from Nick Foles hysteria once and for all. My real hometown against my birthplace. Who Dat say.. ;)

How’s everyone doing?

May you always find your smile.
