Great night in Soul Journey

The Lyrebirds have come and gone for another year. What a great night it was. Great folk from all over theatre both musical and straight.

About a thousand or so people with every one dressed to the nines. Great to see. I got lots of compliments about my outfit and I must admit to being very thrilled with how I looked. I finished up choosing a long string of pearls knotted in just the strategic place with a gorgeous pair of diamanté earrings.

The actual ceremony took about two and half hours. But the award giving was interspersed with acts from the different shows who had been nominated.

I have said it so many times but the talent that is out there in the Melbourne theatre scene is sensational. No wonder we get to the top of the profession.
